The ELECTRONIC IGNITION DI18-5494-2 is a reliable ignition for marine applications. It is certified for marine applications ignition for safety. It is an ignition-protected device to ensure it won’t ignite the surrounding air-fuel mixture. They won’t reach a sufficient surface temperature or generate enough spark to ignite an air-fuel mixture. It is suggested to use an 18-29716 .7 ohm coil and 18-5450 ballast resistor for longer module life.NOTE: NOT for NEWER VORTEC Right-Hand Rotation Engines and Not for 348, 409, and tall deck big-block engines.
