Description

The crankshaft seal is an essential engine component. It aims to keep the oil in the crankcase isolated from the outside air by forming an airtight barrier between the two.

The crankshaft seal links to the front of the engine, the crankshaft end, and the timing cover. These seals have a metal and rubber or silicone construction and are inserted in the front timing cover to seal the end of the crankshaft as it revolves.
